Sailing trips, experiences: 

Gulf Coast W23XL, New England coast, Rhodes 19, O’Day 22, Pearson 33, O’Day27.  Chesapeake Bay W27, Lake Lanier, GA, W23XL & W27

 

 

Boat Condition:  Good, cosmetics fair.  Emphasis continues to be on upgrading systems and sailing.  Boat is like me, not much to look at, but sturdy and dependable.

 

 

 

 

Upgrades by you or other owners:  

Replaced all fuses with circuit breakers, partial rewiring of boat, replaced sanitation hoses, replaced flow gates with seacock’s, lightening grounding, Simrad W30 Auto pilot, interior lights, Navman fish finder/DS, Garman 172C Chartplotter, Cushions recovered, New Bimini-still to be installed, Standard Horizon Spectrum VHF with DSC and interfaced with Garmin and with RAM control mike in cockpit, replaced chocks with cleats in bow to reduce chafe of dock lines, Main and Jib treated by SailCare in 2006, roller furling with Sun strip on 155% Genoa, Asymmetrical, bottom blister repaired in 2003 (no signs of blisters since then), replaced cutlass bearing.  Fitted nonskid rubber shop mat in cockpit floor.

 

 

Planned projects:    Add second battery to house bank and move starting battery to inside engine compartment next to fuel tank on Port side.  Install Bimini for Summer sailing, complete replacing sanitation hoses, redo bottom this winter, replace teak grab rails  with continuous SS,  Upgrade winches, paint topsides and work on soft spots on forward deck and cabin top.  Paint cabin top, redo bright work, paint head, and win a race!
